The Cottages in the Summer

These are cottages for all seasons with thick walls, central heating, log fires (wood supplied), natural wood finishes and latch doors. Both cottages were completely renovated and refurbished in 1996, with kitchen extensions built beyond the existing walls, and extensive bathroom facilities installed. The cottages have 4 star accreditation from the Scottish Tourist Board.

Duvets, bed linen and towels are provided for both cottages.

Electricity, water and heating (total control electric heating) are included in the rate. There is an initial supply of wood and coal. Small charcoal BBQ's are available.

Private parking and garden area for each cottage.

Pets are welcome by arrangement.

The cottages are available throughout the year.

Come in spring (April/May) and see the Rhododendrons in bloom, the snow drops, bluebells and daffodils in the woodland, and visit the nearby gardens of Ardkinglas, Crarae and the Younger Gardens.

Come in the summer (June/July/August) and attend the Highland Games at Inveraray, Oban or Dunoon, or visit the many museums, gardens and castles. Or just walk, shop, fish, dive, shoot, swim, play golf, pony trek, play tennis or take day trips to the islands.

Winter Scene

Come in the Autumn (September/October/November) and pick hazelnuts, brambles and wild raspberries; or come in Winter (December/January/February/March) when the snow crowns the hills. Or celebrate with the locals Halloween (31st October), St Andrews Day (30th November) or Hogmanay (to see the New Year in true highland style). What about a Burns Night Supper (25th January) at one of the local hotels in Inveraray, Dunoon or Cairndow?
